Don't Give Up On Rory & Logan Just Yet

by Michelle Lulic

Hey, Ace. I think it's time to call a meeting of Yale's Life and Death Brigade. According to the latest post from the official Gilmore Girls Instagram, there's a good chance that Logan and Rory could be endgame in the upcoming Netflix revival series. In fact, with all other fan theories pushed aside, the odds of the highly anticipated Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life wedding being for the previously almost-engaged couple just got immensely higher. Why? Because in this new photo posted on Tuesday, Logan is already dressing up for the occassion. With a "L.H." engraved tie clip and suit all ready to go, it seems as if Logan has some kind of noteworthy event in his sights. And odds are, he's dressing up for something where Rory is involved. *Hyperventilates*

Despite the possible rekindling of a Rory and Jess romance in the Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life trailer, nothing regarding Rory's love life has been officially confirmed. And with one Instagram post posted for each of Rory's previous boyfriends, there has been nothing more than nostalgia coming from the Gilmore Girls account. However, Logan has just been awarded his second official post out of the bunch. And this time, his post includes one vital new piece of information: the revival series hashtag, #AYearInTheLife.

I know, I could be totally overreacting. However, the revival hashtag means that the photo fans are seeing is coming from a scene that's yet to come. In fact, the only other time the hashtag was used thus far was in a recent post showing the door to Paris Geller's very adult-like new office. So if the usage of a suit and engraved tie clip is in Logan's future, it has to be because some kind of special occassion is on its way, right?

However, it's not just his professional attire that's giving me hope. Of course, with his fancy family, there are multiple occassions that could require such a wardrobe. But it's the slow piecing together of the puzzle that's giving this post so much of it's credibility. This subtle hint, along with news that the entire Life and Death Brigade are set to return, is what makes a Rory and Logan wedding that much more plausible. With only four hour-and-a-half episodes on their way, there isn't much time for multiple formal occassions. And would Logan and the rest of Yale's secret society really dress up for any other kind of Gilmore-related wedding? I certainly don't think so.

But believe me, at this point my heart is still aching is confusion. The revival series just can't come fast enough. Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life premieres on Netflix on Nov. 25.
