This Is the Ultimate Food Porn

We rely on the French for a lot of things: cheese, bread, fashion, Palme D’or-winning films we didn’t have the courage to see in theaters that are finally on Netflix… and now, food porn. As brought to our attention by Slate, one rather enticing ad for French coffee company Carte Noire has been popping up all over the Internet on account of its, well, sexual nature. And by sexual, I mean you can’t watch it without drooling all over your keyboard.

"ROSE by Carte Noire," the ad in question, is just one of a series of films produced as part of a campaign for the coffee company Couleur Café. Resembling the opening credits to Showtime’s Dexter — had Dexter been a pastry chef and not a serial killer — the two-minute video features the steps it takes to bake what appear to be the most delicious cream puffs in existence.

Carte Noire's site provides a brief description for the video (courtesy of Google Translate): "Discover Rose by Carte Noire, greedy video reserved for women." I'm not denying how greedy of a woman this film is making me, and I'm pretty sure this would make any human's mouth water by about 0:22. Oh, to taste that spatula!
