Starbucks Holiday Drinks Are BOGO Again This Year

It's the most wonderful time of the year! There's always a reason to celebrate the holidays, and Starbucks knows this well: Not only are their red cups back for winter, but the Starbucks holiday drinks are BOGO starting on Nov. 10. This means that people who buy any one seasonal drink (including hot, iced and blended beverages) will get another holiday drink of the same value or less for free. ("BOGO," meaning "buy one, get one." Get it?) Yahoo!

The BOGO deal has become a Starbucks holiday tradition, although as usual, this year's deal is only available for a limited time. Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada will apply the BOGO deal to all holiday drink shoppers from Thursday, Nov. 10 through Monday, Nov. 14 in the afternoon, from 2 to 5 p.m. (Red cups will also be returning on Nov. 10, so mark that date on your calendar!) That's a few days earlier than the 2015 BOGO event, in addition to including an extra day; last year, the deal was available from Nov. 12 to Nov. 15. It feels like the holidays begin earlier and earlier every year, but hey, who's complaining?

Confession: I'm not the biggest coffee drinker, but that being said, Starbucks holiday drinks are hard to resist. Just a few of their beverages included in the BOGO deal include the Peppermint Mocha, the Caramel Brulee Latte, the Gingerbread Latte (yum!) and the Eggnog Latte, all of which were re-released for the year on Nov. 1.

Maybe it's just me, but I always feel like the holidays are ironically one of the most stressful times of the year. There are gifts to be bought, vacation plans to be made, and work to be completed before it's time to peace out. In these instances, extra java might be necessary to keep us going. Plus, the BOGO deal is a great way to grab some coffee and a surprise pick-me-up for your coworker or best friend (or maybe gift yourself both? I won't judge). Plus, the afternoon time slot makes total sense, because let's face it, we all need caffeine at some point in the PM.

We still don't officially know what the red cups are actually going to look like. Starbucks comes out with a nifty new red cup design every year, though, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. That being said, I'm super pumped about this year's BOGO deal. Holiday packaging is important, but freebies are even better. Bottoms up!
