Lisa Vanderpump’s Dog Gala Is Bravolebrity Catnip

by Kristie Rohwedder

What is better than hanging out with a bunch of Bravolebrities at a glamorous fête? Uh, how about hobnobbing with a bunch of Bravolebrities at a glamorous fête while you contribute to a cause that is dedicated to helping canines around the world? On Thursday evening, Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd hosted the first ever Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Hollywood, and approximately one billion Bravolebs showed up to support the pooch-loving restauranteurs’ organization. As the Daily Dish pointed out, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills power couple was joined by fellow Bravo stars Kyle Richards, Joyce Giraud, Taylor Armstrong, Dorit Kelsey, Eden Sassoon, Gretchen Rossi, Slade Smiley, Stephanie Hollman, David Parnes, and James Harris. As far as non-Bravoleb celebs go, Mario Lopez, Lance Bass, and Leona Lewis were also in attendance.

"But what about the Sexy Unique SURvers?" you wonder as you read and re-read the guest list. "Were they all holding down the fort at SUR or something?"

Nope, you better believe they were part of the dog paw-rty. Just one day after they VanderCrawled from one Manhattan bar to another, the Pump Rules cast was back in Los Angeles for the Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala. Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, Scheana Shay, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Peter Madrigal, Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney, James Kennedy, and Lala Kent all went to their boss’ charity event.

According to the Vanderpump Dog Foundation's website, the organization’s “mission is to provide for a more humane world for dogs worldwide."

"Through both our domestic and international campaigns," the VDF mission statement continues, "we feel that the organization can make a positive impact on global legislation, education and treatment of animals.” In a recent interview with E! News, Vanderpump explained that, in addition to protesting the Yulin Festival, the foundation plans to open a shelter in West Hollywood and is raising money for a fully-equipped transport van. "My life has literally gone to the dogs," Vanderpump told E! News.

That Lisa Vanderpup, er, Vanderpump sure rules, eh?
