Calvin Harris Changes His Tune About T. Swift

by Alaina Urquhart-White

Well, well, well, it looks like someone is changing his tune and possibly issuing a super late mea culpa. Calvin Harris sure had a lot to say to his millions of Twitter followers about Taylor Swift earlier this year when it was revealed that she helped write his hit, "This Is What you Came For." Now it looks like Harris is praising his ex-girlfriend's contribution to the song, but is it too little, too late? On Friday, he tweeted a link about the track's success and wrote, "I am blessed to work with incredible artists @rihanna @taylorswift13 thank you!!!"

Let's be real here, it was supremely childish for Harris to go on the initial Twitter tirade that he did. In July, he insulted Swift and wrote, "I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it." The timing of that rant was unfortunate, considering Swift was engrossed in a short, but very public relationship with Tom Hiddleston when Harris unleashed his Twitter fury. Sure, plenty of people have been there. No one wants to play nice with an ex, but you have to take the high road, my friend.

Luckily, it looks like Harris may be taking that advice to heart these days, because his latest tweet said that he was "blessed" to have collaborated with Swift on that tune. Hey, you have got to give a guy credit when he admits that he misspoke. It's never easy to tuck your tail between your legs, especially in front of tons of followers.

While it may have been a childish move initially, at least Harris is stepping up and giving credit to Swift for her talent. They may not have worked out romantically, but they should still recognize each other's respective talents and stay professional.
