Hillary Clinton Did The Mannequin Challenge

by Megan Grant

When I woke up this morning, I knew something amazing was about to happen. No, I'm not referring to voting for the next leader of our glorious country (although I have to admit, that does come in a close second). No, my dear friends, I'm talking about Hillary Clinton doing the Mannequin Challenge. In what has to be one of the most epic attempts at the Mannequin Challenge ever, HRC and her team basically stop time while on a jet flying somewhere to be all presidential and stuff. They're so good and I was so confused that I thought there was some technical glitch in the video. Then at the end, when they finally start moving again, I had one heck of a giggle.

In case you're as lost as I was, the Mannequin Challenge is the latest viral trend, first hitting social media at the end of October before kicking up majorly at the beginning of November. It's believed to have started with Twitter user @pvrity___, who posted a video of their group of friends freezing in various poses. They're so convincing that you're not entirely sure what you're watching. Since then, thousands of people have posted their own Mannequin Challenge videos.

Clinton, not one to miss out on a trending moment, also got in on the action:

The video was posted by HRC today, with a witty and definitely applicable message: "Don't stand still. Vote today."

You hit the nail on the head, girl. If there was ever a time to speak up, now would be it. I'll refrain from saying anything negative about the fellow with the racist, misogynistic campaign who appears on the ballot this year, even though I really, really want to. Instead, I'll leave it at this: Think about the things that are most important to you, and the things you want for your loved ones. With that in mind, what kind of president is going to help get you there?

Happy Election Day, friends!
