This Is Ulta's Return Policy (In Case You Need It)

by Melanie Richtman

With the holiday season upon us, you are probably starting to think about all of the gifts you need to buy and what you might receive in return. If makeup is on your gift list this year, it might be wise to be aware of Ulta's return policy.

It turns out Ulta has a very solid return policy. Whether you purchase your products in store or online, you have 60 days to get a full refund if you have the receipt. You can even return products you've tried and are unhappy with, as long as you have all of the original packaging and a receipt. I always appreciate when stores let you return things you've opened. I know it probably sucks for them, but what if I accidentally get the wrong foundation shade?

If the holiday craziness gets the best of you and you don't have a receipt or only have a gift receipt, you'll receive store credit, which seems totally fair to me. The same rule applies if you have your receipt but it's been more than 60 days since the original purchase. You also get to keep any free gifts that you received with your purchase, which is often one of perks retailers promote throughout the holidays.

One thing to note: If you return an online order by shipping it back to Ulta, you will have to cover the shipping expenses, and it can take up to 30 days to process your return. If you want to get your money back quickly so you can do some more shopping, your best bet will be to return items directly to the store.

So go forth and shop all of those awesome Ulta deals, knowing that its return policy totally has your back.
