Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Items Are Here... For Now

Limited edition or permanent addition? Kylie Cosmetics' 2016 Holiday Edition Collection drops on Monday, Nov. 21. at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT. The brand shared the collection on social media, via Snapchat and Instagram, revealing that it includes silver packaging, more Lip Kit hues, fresh glosses, new textures, the return of creme eyeshadows in new shades, a winter-ready KyShadow palette, a silver makeup bag, the brand's first-ever makeup brushes, a Mini Matte set in different hues, and more. It's more extensive than the Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Edition Collection, which was restocked several times in August. Despite being a limited edition range, with gorgeous, gold-dipped packaging, the bundle enjoyed a one-time-only encore after it was supposed to be gone for good. So, is the Kylie Cosmetics 2016 Holiday Edition Collection limited edition?

That's TBD. The brand has not used the term "limited edition" in the social media posts revealing the collection. The packaging is not stamped with the phrase, either. The Birthday Edition did not feature the words "limited edition" on its packaging, either. Bustle reached out to Kylie Cosmetics reps to ask if the Holiday Collection is permanent or not.

UPDATE: Kylie Cosmetics reps responded to our email on Nov. 17, writing, "Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, we do not have this information."

It seems we will find out the status of the Holiday Edition products upon launch. That said, fans, customers, and makeup mavens can purchase the Kylie Cosmetics 2016 Holiday Edition via the brand's website.

The 2016 Holiday Edition Collection is bigger than the Birthday Edition Collection.

While some of the Birthday items were made permanent in the usual black packaging, like the maroon Leo Lip Kit, some products and shades, like the creme shadows, the black makeup bag, and the Mini Matte set, did not come back for good.

That's likely the case for some of the shades and products in the holiday set. I would guess and expect, based on past experience and my daily interaction with Kylie Cosmetics, that some items will be repackaged and permanently added to the lineup. Others will be gone for good, so scoop 'em up now.

We don't know what's limited edish just yet, but that should all become clear in the coming days as the collection drops.
