See Lady Gaga's Looks At The 2016 VS Fashion Show

by Rachel Nussbaum

Amidst the glitz 'n' glam of the Victoria's Secret fashion show, the musical performances are always powerhouses and feature looks to match, and Lady Gaga's outfits at the 2016 Victoria's Secret show did not disappoint. Running through hits predominantly off her album Joanne, Gaga emerged in a gorgeous, floor-sweeping sheer floral number. A definite departure from her days in meat dresses, but a dark, solemn look to kick off her performance of "A Million Reasons" in.

And then, because of course "and then," things immediately ratcheted up a notch. For her second look, Gaga recalled the alien silhouette of those iconic McQueen Armadillo boots with a pair of ultra high lace-up black platform heels. Paired with a black, skintight latex bodysuit, the look was the hard-edged, drama-Gaga fans know and love for her performance of "John Wayne." With a twist: At the end of the catwalk, shredded white wings burst from their cocoon and she became an official Angel. A Dark Angel, per se. Gaga was basically born to play the role.

That's a hard look to compete with, so for her final turn with fellow performers Bruno Mars and The Weeknd, Gaga returned to the sheer, wine theme (this time with 100 percent more midriff). Sweeping hems were still the name of the game, legs clad in knee high black leather boots to keep some signature toughness.

Catch a glimpse of Lady Gaga entering amidst rolling white fog. Really the ideal way to enter anywhere.

This is a more toned-down look, but Gaga stands out regardless of what she's wearing.
