A Timeline Of Kimye Divorce Rumors

First Brangelina and now Kimye?! From their nuptials to the birth of children, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West keep the blogs buzzing with their marital ups and downs. 2016 certainly hasn't been all selfies and sunshine for the power couple. Sadly, Wednesday's surprising divorce report from Us Weekly only adds fuel to the fire. No papers have been filed and the couple hasn't commented themselves (and Jonathan Cheban says it's not true), but a source claimed to the magazine the reality TV star is seeking to separate from her rapper husband and gain full custody of their kids, North and Saint. (Bustle has reached out to a rep for Kardashian, but has not yet received a response.) This isn't the first time the E! star and the hip-hop heavyweight have been riddled with divorce rumors, though, which is a good sign that they're still going strong just as they were in the past.

Let's be real: Kardashian was highly scrutinized after her whirlwind, 72-day marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries. (Remember him?) However, the Instagram queen wasn't out of the game for long as she quickly rebounded once Mr. West stepped in the building. But as soon as "Kimye" made their debut, haters were waiting for them to fail. September 2014 — Their Marriage Won't Last Longer Than 72 Days

Gossip queen Wendy Williams infamously, and quite literally, ate crow on her daytime talk show in September 2014 after losing a bet that Kimye would divorce in less than 72 days. Hey, at least she's a woman of her word.

July 2014 — Music > Family

Back in July 2014, In Touch Weekly reported that Kardashian was livid at West for putting his work, namely a new album and tour, before their baby girl, North. Since The Life of Pablo didn't come out until 2016 and blessed Saint West arrived in December 2015, it's safe to say West's priorities weren't mixed up at all.

January 2015 —Kim Lawyers Up

Radar Online claimed Kardashian intended to "blindside" her husband with a divorce after he continued to control every aspect of her life including her hairdos. Apparently, removing her beloved hair extensions was simply too much for Kardashian to handle.

September 2015 — Flirtatious Text Messages?

Although Kardashian and West may have looked crazy in love at the MTV Video Music Awards, Hollywood Life reported their love had faded after Kardashian allegedly found flirtatious text messages from one of West's ex-girlfriends. Looks like that one wasn't true either.

January 2016 — Saint Saves The Marriage

Just weeks after Kardashian gave birth a second time, In Touch Weekly claimed Kardashian so desperately wanted to salvage her marriage that having baby Saint was just another reason to force West to stay with her. Yeezus! Could this be true? Nah.

April 2016 — Separation Anxiety

A source told Radar Online Kardashian wanted to split back in April 2016 citing work, finances, and being apart from her husband as constant sources of stress for the mother of two. At the time, they were just two months away from their second wedding anniversary... and obviously didn't split up after this.

August 2016 — $1 Billion Breakup

Rumors were swirling from Star magazine this summer that West was blowing through his and Kardashian's fortune on renovations to their California mansion. Although there was talk of Kardashian gearing up for a $1 billion divorce, the talk was quickly debunked.
