Amber Portwood Claims She Is Leaving 'Teen Mom OG'

by Michelle McGahan

After the explosive fight Teen Mom fans witnessed on the reunion show (in which Amber Portwood had to be restrained from fighting Farrah Abraham, and Abraham's father and Portwood's boyfriend Matt Baier went at it), Portwood now claims she is leaving Teen Mom OG. The reality star took to Twitter on Thursday night with claims that she has been not portrayed accurately and has been treated unfairly. "It's been nothing but disrespect since the reunion show," she wrote. "Which keeps continuing today." When reached by Bustle, MTV had no comment.

"The day I'm shown some respect by the people I've worked with for 8 years is the day I'll be back," she continued, mentioning @MTV. "I've sacrificed a lot for this show."

While Portwood sounds serious in her decision, many cast members have made similar claims over the years. Maci Bookout has threatened to quit the show on-camera, as has Adam Lind. This time last year, Jenelle Evans also threatened to quit the show (she's back for TM2, which airs on Jan. 2). As for whether or not Portwood will stick to her decision — or if she and the network will come to an agreement — that remains to be seen.

Interestingly enough, Evans also sympathized with Portwood's rant, revealing that she's going through a similar struggle with MTV:

Drama, drama, drama — even off the air.
