It’s not often that we get to see the country music crowd shine on the red carpet, but when we do, we’re never disappointed by the sophisticated, fun, and sometimes downright insane looks stars like Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and more show off. At last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM), the ladies of country were looking more glamorous than ever, with styles ranging from sexy crop tops (hello, Taylor Swift!) to gorgeous gowns and everything in between. It’s safe to say the country princess shocked everyone last night when she showed up in a thigh-baring skirt and J. Mendel crop top at the awards show — a surprising first Swift. Staying on trend with her black-and-white combo, subtle cutouts, wavy bob, and pink lip, Swift gave us a mature look that we wouldn’t mind seeing more of on her future red-carpet appearances.

With her blonde locks and beautiful smile, Underwood shines no matter what she’s wearing. But when she throws on a super-shimmery, fringe-heavy gown from Oscar de la Renta, there’s no denying her star (and style) power.
