'Housewives' Wedding Special Will Top the Rest

by Kenya Foy

For anyone currently dwelling on a misery loves company wavelength, rest assured that you are in the presence of others whose dilemmas easily exceed yours in suckiness-- even if they're on TV. Case in point: Another Bravo wedding disaster, er, spin-off will feature the April 4 nupitals of The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kandi Burruss and producer Todd Tucker. Between I Dream of NeNe and Kim Zolciak's Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding , it's become somewhat of a job to keep up with the Atlanta wives and their spin-offs. But the drama that ensued from Burruss and Tucker's romance makes it a worthwhile task. Here's why this Housewives wedding special will be the best one yet.

BURRUSS' MOM HATES HER NEW SON-IN-LAW

Burruss' mother, better known as Mama Joyce, absolutely abhors her new son-in-law. Honestly, it appears that she hates anyone her daughter dates. And the scary thing is she isn't above paying someone to set daughter's husband up, or fighting Burruss' best friend, even if she has to throw down in a bridal dress shop. Mama Joyce also accused Tucker of cheating, scheming, mooching and slacking, all without an ounce of evidence to back her claims. And although the couple already exchanged I dos, she continues to trash talk their union in the media.

BURRUSS HAS BEEN ENGAGED BEFORE

Fans of the show will recall Burruss' previous engagement, which ended with the tragic death of her then-fiancé AJ Jewell. Burruss has always expressed her desire to be married, so it will definitely be interesting to witness her reaction to finally making it down the aisle.

NOT EVEN WHOOPI GOLDBERG COULD REASON WITH MAMA JOYCE

A few months ago, the turmoil between Burruss' beau and her mom reached such a level of discord that she took her pre-wedding drama to The View where Whooi couldn't resist weighing in on Mama Joyce's incessant meddling. But not even a televised scolding by a Hollywood veteran could deter Burruss' mom from her mission of marriage destruction. I don't want to predict a divorce in anyone's future but if Mama Joyce has it her way, she'll go down in history as the first mom to successfully execute divorce by mother-in-law.
