Robyn is Back and the World is Safe to Dance

by Rachel Semigran

Ladies, call your girlfriends and arrange a dance party ASAP because Robyn has a new minialbum coming. If the preview of "Monument" that was released today via Robyn's Twitter tells us anything, it's that we won't be able to stop listening. The forthcoming album which is titled Do It Again is a collaboration between Robyn and Norwegian techno duo Röyksopp. On the track's YouTube page Robyn commented, "I've been going back and forth to Bergen to record and write with the Röyksopp boys up until recently. It started to feel more like a band thing than songs for a Röyksopp or Robyn album so we´re releasing this music together as a band you could say."

The Robyn/Röyksopp union makes perfect sense as they're artists from two sides of the Scandanavian peninsula with a knack for making any playlist sexier and any club sweatier. It was only a matter of time before their Nordic heritage and techno beats made sweet, sweet love.

Röyksopp added, "This doesn't sound like Röyksopp featuring Robyn or Robyn produced by Röyksopp, it's just something else entirely, the word 'collaboration' has never before been more justified in the world of music!"

Do it Again will feature five tracks including "Monument," "Sayit," "Do It Again," "Every Little Thing," and "Inside The Idle Hour Club." Now we all will wait on bated breath for Taran Killam to release his step-by-step video tribute to "Monument" and all will be right with the world.
