One Of Your Favorite Nickelodeon Stars is Back

by Maitri Suhas

Post-Kenan & Kel, Kenan Thompson has seen major success on Saturday Night Live. But, for some years, Kel Mitchell, his orange soda-loving costar, faded into the abyss of '90s child stars. There was even a rumor in 2006 that he was dead. But this year, Mitchell is proving he's very much alive by returning to the birthplace of his success, with a guest spot on the iCarly/Victorious spinoff Sam and Cat. Kel will play a rapper named Peezy B that hires Sam as an assistant.

So does this mean that there is a Kenan & Kel reunion on the horizon? Not quite. Mitchell told TMZ last fall that Thompson wanted nothing to do with him: “The truth is Kenan does not want to be seen with me in any form of media, or even have my name mentioned around him.” Cold as ice, especially considering the duo spent most of the '90s together on All That and Kenan & Kel. As Pierre Escargot would say, mon dieu!
