Amy Poehler & Nick Kroll: What Other Real Life Couples Have Been on Each Other's Shows?

After attending last night's AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony together, it seems that the rumors of a new relationship between fellow funny people Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll are true. Kroll has appeared on Poehler's comedy 'Parks and Rec' a few times as radio host "The Douche," and its a safe bet to say that he'll be back following their public outing. Poehler also returned the favor recently when she filmd a guest appearance for his Comedy Central sketch series, 'The Kroll Show.' But they're not the first couple who like to pop in on each other's TV shows. Here are some of our favorite real-life couples (past and present) who joined each other on the small screen. Amy Poehler & Will Arnett

Nick Kroll isn’t the first relationship Amy Poehler has enjoyed in front of televised audiences. When she and Will Arnett were married, she had a recurring guest role on ‘Arrested Development’ as, conveniently, his wife. Later, Arnett appeared in the second season of ‘Parks and Rec’ as Leslie Knope’s disastrous blind date. Sigh, perhaps it was a sign. [Image: Getty Images]

Nick Offerman & Megan Mullally

Though they have a background appearing on stage with one another, Offerman and Mullally first graced the small screen in the same scene when he guest starred on ‘Will & Grace’ in 2001. The duo, who are still happily married, have also re-teamed on Offerman’s ‘Parks and Rec’ as, in which Mullally plays his ex-wife. The two also have roles in the recent indie movies ‘The Kings of Summer.’ and the Karen Walker-approved ‘Smashed.’ [Image: Getty Images]

Ben Stiller & Christine Taylor

Besides appearing in multiple movies together, husband and wife Stiller and Taylor can also be seen on ‘Arrested Development,’ ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ and the webseries Stiller produces, ‘Burning Love.’ The ridiculously good-looking couple that works together stays together. [Image: Getty Images]

Paul Scheer & June Diane Raphael

Raphael appeared in Scheer’s classic MTV show ‘Human Giant’ and Scheer fought for her heart on the ‘Bachelor’-parody webseries ‘Burning Love.’ The comedy royalty duo now stars together on Cartoon Network’s ‘NTSF:SD:SUV’ and co-host the podcast ‘How Did This Get Made.’ What we want to know is: How do we get this marriage? Jennifer Aniston & Brad Pitt

Before Brangelina fell in love during the filming of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith,’ Pitt guest starred opposite Aniston on a Thanksgiving episode of ‘Friends.’ The then-couple played on their cozy relationship during the episode — Pitt portrayed an old classmate who despised Aniston’s Rachel. In 2001, it was funny. Now, could it BE any more uncomfortable? [Image: Getty Images]

Courteney Cox & David Arquette

Another couple to unite on ‘Friends,’ Cox and Arquette had originally met when they starred together in ‘Scream.’ Arquette later guest starred on an episode of the show’s third season. But instead of dating Cox, his character was interested in Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe. The couple has since divorced, but Arquette still appeared in an episode of Cox’s current show, ‘Cougar Town,’ last year. Aw? [Image: Getty Images]

Steve & Nancy Carell

Since meeting the future movie star when they were both performers with the Second City comedy troupe, Nancy has boasted several small roles in Steve’s films. She was also featured on the second season of ‘The Office’ as Michael Scott’s girlfriend. Though she hadn’t been on the show in a few years, she scored (that’s what she said) with a cameo in the series finale this past May. [Image: Getty Images]

Mindy Kaling & BJ Novak

Kaling and Novak briefly dated — both on and off-screen. But the duo claims now they’re just best friends. We would believe it, had Novak not guest starred on ‘The Mindy Project’… as Mindy’s boyfriend who had a female best friend that he swore was just platonic. By the next episode, the two were together. Maybe this will become a case of life imitating art? [Image: Getty Images]
