Lorde x MAC is Fabulously Moody

So maybe we'll never be royals. But we will be super-cool fairy goth princesses because Lorde's mini-collection for MAC has a release date! The product images prove the collaboration will be exactly what we hoped it would be, complete with plum lipstick and wing-tip eyeliner. Now if only we can master the sultry evil-eye and develop some vocal chops and then we can just be Lorde. Isn't that the ultimate goal anyway?

Lorde x MAC will be available online and in MAC's Times Square and Fifth Avenue stores on July 5. The first visual for the collection, shot by photographer Charles Howells, features the 17-year-old singer giving us Black Widow-style bedroom eyes while wearing Plum Heroine lipstick ($16) and Penultimate Eyeliner in Rapidblack ($19.50) from the line.

MAC senior artist Amber Dreadon worked with Lorde to create the beauty looks for her tour to promote Pure Heroine. Like many teenagers, Lorde has long been a fan of the brand.

I have loved MAC Cosmetics since I was a little kid. I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends! MAC has a very clear aesthetic, that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too.

If only I had a MAC makeup artist on hand to help me perfect Hot Topic hot when I was 17 years old. Maybe I'd be famous by now! In all seriousness, Lorde looks gorgeous and we can't wait to get our hands on that shade of plum for our lips.
