Cody Walker Opens up About Brother's Death

by Sofia Barrett-Ibarria

Cody Walker, younger brother of the late Paul Walker, is still finding it hard to process his brother Paul Walker's untimely death. In an emotional interview with the Associated Press, Cody reveals that the loss of his brother, who died tragically in a car accident last November, "still doesn't feel real". Holding back tears, Cody remembers Paul's modest, laid-back nature, and says he struggles to cope with the reality of his brother's passing. Cody says that, because Paul's busy acting career often kept him away from his family for months at a time, it's been difficult to come to terms with the loss of his late brother.

After Paul Walker's passing, production of the upcoming Fast & Furious 7 was put on an indefinite hold as producers decided how to move forward after the loss of one of the Fast & Furious franchise's biggest stars. Ultimately, producers decided to complete the film with Cody and Paul Walker's brother Caleb's input on set, as well as help with technical gaps in some of Paul's unfinished action scenes. The completed film is now set to debut in theaters April 10, 2015.

Paul's legacy is kept alive in several film projects he was never able to complete. Cody says Paul had been training rigorously in martial arts for many years, and was looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside park our founder David Belle in his latest film, Brick Mansions, a remake of the French action film District B13 in theaters as of last Friday.

Paul Walker continues to be missed by his family, fans, and long-time Fast & Furious cast and crew members. Grab some tissues and watch the interview here:
