This Show Has A Premiere Date!

by Mallory Schlossberg

Mark your calendars! Girl Meets World has announced its premiere date, so you now have a date to watch the spin-off of the show that defined your younger years. Disney's Girl Meets World will premiere June 27 at 9:45 p.m., which you've got to admit, is a tad late for the younger set, but hey — maybe this show is more for us adults who are psyched for the throwback to its predecessor.

The long-awaited show chronicles Riley (Rowan Blanchard) as she faces the — wait for it — world. She's the daughter of Corey and Topanga (Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel), which should make you feel very old. It makes me feel old. I'm concerned I'll relate more to Corey and Topanga than the titular girl, but that's besides the point.

Anyway, we've seen the first trailer for the series, and even though that trailer somewhat disappointed — you can't go back to the good old days of 1990s puberty — the anticipation didn't immediately cease because everybody loves some heartwarming nostalgia. And besides, I know it's it's not too hard to be empathetic to a tween girl. (EMPATHY, people! You're a kid at heart!)

The adorable poster was a throwback to the original series, too, which set the stage for even more excitement:

That globe! So cute.

And if all of that wasn't enough, there's also new trailer for the series, which you can watch below:

So June 27, 9:45 p.m. on the Disney Channel, people! Get ready to feel lots of things, but hopefully more feelings akin to "heartwarming nostalgia" than "oh God, I'm aging."
