Lena Dunham Met Gala Dress Is a Win

Despite Hannah's move to Iowa, Girls creator and star Lena Dunham is still very much in New York, where she attended one of the city's institutions, the 2014 Met Gala. But who would have expected the actress and budding fashionista not to attend? After all, Dunham has spent the past few months rocking the covers of Glamour and, of course, Vogue , edited by none other than Met Ball event chair Anna Wintour. And Dunham — who has suffered some serious red carpet missteps in the past — seriously rocked it at the Met Ball red carpet. Though it might have seemed a bit more casual than some of the other showings at the 2014 Met Ball, it was still everything that Hannah Horvath is: Adorable, flirty, and just a bit confusing... in a good way, of course.

Still, Dunham is hardly jaded — hours before her appearance on the Met Ball's red carpet, Dunham tweeted fans that "it's a challenge fitting all my spy equipment in my Met Ball clutch." It's too bad — considering the 2014 gala didn't boast a live stream, we really could have used any intel you could have gotten, Lena.
