17 Gym Clothes You Can Actually Wear In Public After You Workout

From Karlie Kloss wearing boxing gear in French Vogue , to Into the Gloss' special on sports bras, and designer Mary Katrantzou's upcoming collaboration with Adidas, sportswear x fashion has been everywhere.

What makes sportswear get to infiltrate the street style scene? It's sexy (hello, tight fabrics), it has an attitude (takes a bold woman to go out in a sports bra), and you can wear it out for the night, sleep in it, and wake up to go to the gym in it in the morning. Genius!

Click through for some tanks, joggers, and sneakers I absolutely plan on working into my springtime wardrobe.

The Streetwear Sports Bra

T by Alexander Wang Sports Bra, $52, Net-a-Porter

You can wear this out as a pseudo crop top — I promise! Pair it with something high-waisted,of course, like a midi skirt or pants that come up over the belly button.

The Faux-Bana Sports Bra

Tie-Dye Print Athletic Sports Bra, $12, Q-Sport

This reminds me of Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2013 — tons of tropicana and midriff. Pair with high-waisted black pants for a burst of contrast.

The Going-Out Sports Bra

VPL Insertion Bra, $45-$95, Journelle

The thick bands and cool color-blocks make this sports bra going out-worthy, as well as “I want to bench press at the gym today” worthy. Take your pick.

I'm an Alexander Wang Fangirl Track Pant

Adidas 13 Tiro Training Pant, $40, Adidas

Every Russian man in my gym wears these — and now I really want a pair. Aside from the fact my future Eastern European fantasy husband wears them, you can actually style these Adidas trackpants exactly how you would skinny jeans — with pointy-toe heels or flatform sandals.

I Woke Up Like This Workout Pants

OAK Karate Cotton-Fleece Pants, $58, Net-a-Porter

The epitome of downtown haute-ness are ingrained in the very threads that make up these sweatpants of “IDGAF” desire.

The Yoga-to-Brunch Sweatpant

Lucky Brand Skinny Sweatpant, $32, Lucky

If you’re like me and yoga doesn’t make you sweat (because you’re just chillin’ in Child’s Pose the whole time), there won’t be a problem wearing these workout pants straight to brunch after your namaste session.

The Work Appropriate Lounge Pant

L’agence Lounge Pant, $105, The Dreslyn

Whoever styled this photo is a mastermind. Crisp white shirt, boots, and those loose black pants? I dare say you could even wear this outfit to an interview.

The Fashion Freak Sneaker

Adidas Stan Smith Sneaker, $75, J Crew

Remember how those heeled sneakers a la Isabel Marant were everywhere? Doesn’t matter if you never bought a pair, because these Stan Smith kicks have taken over as the new “fashion sneaker.”

The Chill Jogger

Kenzo Palm Tree Print Sneaker, $110, Net-a-Porter

I’d wear this on a Miami boardwalk or maybe to a Pilates class. If I did Pilates.

The Non-#Normcore Shoe

Glyde Lite Engineered Mesh Women’s Sneaker, $46, Deals Plus

I know, I know. Another white sneaker? How #normcore can I be?! Whatever, this Puma shoe is unique because of the mesh detailing and will look good with everything, from skirt to skinny jean.

The Camo Kicks

Marc by Marc Jacobs Cute Kicks Jogger Sneaker, $70, Shop Bop

These shoes have a hard camo edge, but the soft pink accents give them a feminine feel.

The Eye-Catcher Track Jacket

Firebird Frutaflor Track Jacket, $70, Adidas

Wearing this to a gym class — or anywhere besides a gym class — automatically makes you the coolest cat on the yoga mat.

The I'm Cool, Period Gym Jacket

Misty Plastic Bomber Jacket, $24, Topshop

You can’t see sweat stains in this. A+.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game Jacket

Unisex Club Jacket with Leather Sleeves, $245, American Apparel

You don’t have to play baseball to look like an all star!

The Hit the Club Workout Tank

Adidas by Stella McCartney Run Climate Stretch-Jersey Tank, $45, Net-a-Porter

If you wore this out dancing with a pair of leather pants, you would look stellar, and you wouldn’t get as sweaty. It’s a win-win.

The Ballerina-Inspired Tank

Women Sleevless Airism Top, $4, Uniqlo

So you thought this was just a normal nude tank, huh? Wrong. It’s one of Uniqlo’s “Airism” tops, which prevents odor and allows perspiration to dry up immediately.

The Throwback Tank

Colorblock Crop Racerback, $66, Nordstrom

This reminds me of my mom’s workout gear circa 1996, except this tank is super cool and very wearable for a night out. Pair it with a high leather skirt and let that midriff show!

PS. It also is a racerback, so it’ll give you some edge.
