The Best Looks From The 2014 Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival is not only one of the most prestigious film festivals, but certainly one of the most stylish. With stars like Nicole Kidman, Sofia Coppola and Blake Lively starting to make appearances on the red carpet, the next ten days of the famous festival are sure to be full of stunning gowns, big fashion moments and to be sure –– a whole lot of attractive people. We can't complain.

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Nicole Kidman and Paz Vega in Armani Prive

And that, my friends, is how you do a sparkly gown at Cannes. Boom.

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: : Blake Lively in Gucci

As much as we’d all like to secretly hate Blake Lively (I mean, her husband…), she looks pretty flawless in this Gucci gown, complete with braided up do and fierce heels.

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Zoe Saldana in Victoria Beckham

Zoe Saldana is gorgeous no matter what, but…something about this whole ensemble doesn’t seem very…Cannes. Is that a bow on her chest? A flower? I don’t understand.

Michael Buckner/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Audrey Tatou in Prada

The pattern of this dress is, yes, a little intense. However, the length of the dress paired with those pointy-toe heels? Lovely.

Michael Buckner/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Karlie Kloss in Valentino

I’m not really sure how something can be Valentino, yet also look like a costume from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Michael Buckner/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Laetitia Casta in Christian Dior

Something about this whole look is so, so perfect. It’s an artsy, more modern dress, but the hair, makeup, and shoes come together so perfectly that it’s hard not to love it all.

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Sofia Coppola in Louis Vuitton

Rocking a Louis Vuitton little black (embellished) dress at Cannes? Does it get more chic than that?

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Adèle Exarchopoulos in Louis Vuitton

No, until now, I didn’t have any idea who Adele Exarchopoulos was. And no, I still cannot pronounce her last name, but the girl certainly knows a thing or two about how to work a red carpet messy braid. And if that’s not skill, I don’t know what is.

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Nadja Auermann in Dolce & Gabbana

Is there anything I do not obsessively love in this ensemble? Nope, not a thing.

Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Jane Fonda in Elie Saab

Does this Elie Saab dress look familiar to you at all? Thought so. And while I can’t say I prefer the dress in red, Jane Fonda looks pretty amazing regardless.

Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Kendall Jenner in Chanel

While this certainly does look very “fashion-y,” I can’t say I love it. I’m not sure if I like it, but I can’t really look away. Much like the Kardashian reality show that Kendall is, you know, a little familiar with.

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Zhang Ziyi in Stephane Rolland

This look is visually interesting and bold while still remaining feminine and just plain pretty. Easier said than done, and Zhang Ziyi pulls it off.

"Grace of Monaco" Photocall: Nicole Kidman in Altuzarra

Does Nicole Kidman ever look bad? Or age? No, I didn’t think so either.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Grace of Monaco" Photocall: Paz Vega in Zuhair Murad

Those shoes, though. Those. Shoes.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Aida Yespicia

If the Little Mermaid was super chic and at Cannes, I think this is what she would wear.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Ilena Lenina

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Opening Ceremony and "Grace of Monaco" Premiere: Gong Li

Revealing, yet classy is a hard look to pull off, but this look is sexy in all the right ways. You go, Gong.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Mr. Turner" Premiere: Julianne Moore in Louis Vuitton

Julianne Moore is ageless, and so is this Louis Vuitton look. Yes, I do happen to think that red leather is classic.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Mr. Turner" Premiere: Blake Lively in Chanel

With everyone saying Blake was the fashion star from day one of Cannes, it’s safe to say the Mrs. Ryan Reynolds is the front runner for day two as well. This look is flawlessly chic

Tim P. Whitby/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Mr. Turner" Premiere: Zoe Saldana

I was really hoping I’d like Zoe’s second day look a lot better than the first, but all I can really say about this is, “well, I guess it could be worse.”

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Mr. Turner" Premiere: Liya Kebede

It’s hard not to be a fan of dresses that look like they could double as an art piece.

Tim P. Whitby/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Mr. Turner" Premiere: Ines de la Fressange

Trend of Cannes 2014 day two: carry some sort of extra piece of fabric. Because, you know, it’s France.

Tim P. Whitby/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Two Days, One Night" Premiere: Amber Heard in Vionnet

Engaged to Johnny Depp, gorgeous in a designer gown, cool hair. Yes, Amber Heard, we are all very, very jealous.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Maps to the Stars" Premiere: Julianne Moore in Chanel Couture

Two words: Chanel. Couture. That is all.

Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Maps to the Stars" Premiere: Beatrice Rosen in Vionet

Not sure about this whole neckline, you you’ve got to love a girl who can rock yellow.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Maps to the Stars" Premiere: Sarah Godon in Armani Prive

The dress is pretty, but if I’m being honest, I’m mostly just looking at Robert Pattinson.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Lost River" Photocall: Christina Hendricks

This outfit is, well, nothing special, but Christina Hendricks always looks drop-dead gorgeous.

Tim P. Whitby/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

I"Lost River" Photocall: Ryan Gosling

I just put this in here because, I mean, Ryan Gosling.

Tim P. Whitby/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Two Days, One Night" Photocall: Marion Cotillard in Maison Martin Margiela Couture

If it wasn’t already official, it is official now: I want to be you, Marion Cotillard.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Foxcatcher" Premiere: Jessica Chastain in Elie Saab

I think Jessica was born to wear this color.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Foxcatcher" Premiere: Eva Longoria in Vionnet

Because everyone needs a flesh-toned, turtle neck body suit at some point….right?

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Foxcatcher" Premiere: Cheryl Cole in Monique Lhullier

Cheryl Cole had major fashion moment in this Monique Lhullier gown. High-low dresses can be chic. Who knew?

Vittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"Foxcatcher" Premiere: Riley Keogh in Valentino

You can’t really tell from the photo, but Keough redefined the deep v-neck in this Valentino number.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby" Photocall: Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen

Pattern mixing between shoes and dresses? I approve.

Neilson Barnard/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby" Photocall: Jess Weixler in Honor

The tiny over-the-dress crop top that we all never knew we wanted.

Neilson Barnard/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"The Homesman" Premiere: Sonam Kapoor in Elie Saab

Elie Saab has had a whole lot of fashion moments on the red carpet so far in Cannes, but Kapoor may make the biggest statement (literally) with this black Saab number. Paired with the hair and makeup, it's perfection.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"The Homesman" Premiere: Frieda Pinto in Oscar de la Renta

All I have to say about this is: BOOM. Flawless.

Tim P. Whitby/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"The Homesman" Premiere: Hilary Swank in Atelier Versace

Swank has wowed on the carpet often, but I don't think this is one of those times. Beautiful, but blah.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

"The Homesman" Premiere: Suki Waterhouse in Christian Dior

A very chic bridesmaids dress? We all know that Suki killed it at the Met Gala, so it's no wonder that this look falls a little short in comparison.
