She's Dealing With A Scary Obsessed Fan

In this week's edition of Pop Stars Take on Horror Movies, Miley Cyrus is speaking to some guy through her songs! It's some ectoplasmic sensation! Jk, she's not at all — some Miley fan is convinced that the woman behind Bangerz is communicating to him through her music, and as a result he's made a vow to meet her. Further, Miley Cyrus has been issued a restraining order, so that this man stays away from her.

Okay, that is pretty scary and not in a ghostly way. According to the AP, this man is 24-year-old Devon Meek and the LAPD has detained him since he's made it known that not only is he convinced that Cyrus is speaking to him, he's been making it his mission to meet her. Detective Rosibel Smith said that a police officer who spoke to Meek,

[...]informed me that Mr. Meek stated that when he is released from the hospital, he will not stop seeking Ms. Cyrus and that he will continue to go to Ms. Cyrus' residence until Ms. Cyrus accepts him or he dies.

Smith also wrote in a sworn statement that Meek had instructed officers to shoot him in the head if he couldn't meet Cyrus.

Meek is currently in a psychiatric ward and on June 16 there will be a hearing to extend Cyrus' temporary restraining order for three years.

Ugh. Poor Miley. We know she wants attention, but not this kind, and no celebrity deserves this kind of crazy harassment. Hopefully the LAPD will hold him down and Miley can keep doing her crazy thing without anyone trying to stalk her. Cue Wrecking Ball, please.
