Is It Fall Yet? Because We Need to See These Shows

by Aly Semigran

We realize we're only two days into June here, but is it too early to ask if it's September yet? Entertainment Weekly has shared NBC's fall premiere dates for the 2014-2015 season, and the end of summer has never sounded so appealing. (Thankfully, we'll have Netflix to tide us over until then.)

In just a few months time we'll have the sixth and final season of Parenthood, the return of reality favorites like The Voice and The Biggest Loser, and some new shows to make space on our DVRs for, including Katherine Heigl's anticipated return to television, State of Affairs. (The latter of which, unfortunately, doesn't debut until November.) We've picked out our highlights from the NBC fall schedule (though you can see the entire thing here), from our returning favorites to the new kids in town we can't wait to meet. Check it out, and mark it down:

Thursday, September 11

8:00 p.m. The Biggest Loser: We can't help but wonder if this season will be plagued by controversy by what happened last season? (Additionally, their time-period premiere will be on Thursday, October 2 at 8 p.m.)

Monday, September 22

8:00 p.m. The Voice: We're ready for you, Gwen and Pharrell! The second night premiere will be on Tuesday, September 23. Same time, same place. (Like The Biggest Loser, The Voice will have a different time-period premiere, on Tuesday, October 14 at 8 p.m.)

Wednesday, Sept. 24

8:00 p.m. The Mysteries of Laura: Debra Messing's track record with NBC is Will & Grace and Smash, so you better believe we're gonna tune in to see if she'll go three-for-three with her new crime dramedy.

Thursday, September 25

10:00 p.m. Parenthood: We're just so darn happy it's back, even if it is a shortened, final season. Bravermans 4-eva.

Thursday, October 2

9:00 p.m. Bad Judge: Oh, have we not mentioned that Kate Walsh is awesome? Because she is.

9:30 p.m. A to Z: Hopefully Cristin Milioti will see a better fate here than she did on How I Met Your Mother . (And her co-star Ben Feldman on Mad Men , for that matter.)

Tuesday, October 14

9:00 p.m. Marry Me: Casey Wilson back on a sitcom? AH-MA-ZING.

9:30 p.m. About a Boy: A promising little delight from the 2014 season. We love us some Jason Katims programming and we are excited to see where this series goes.

Friday, October 24

10:00 p.m. Constantine: While Grimm returns for its fourth season at 9 p.m., and it will be followed by this gothic newcomer based on the comic book series Hellblazer, which already spawned a film starring Keanu Reeves back in 2005. Whoa.

Monday, November 17

10:00 p.m. State of Affairs: Who's afraid of Katherine Heigl? Not us, that's for sure.
