Google Lets You Travel By Dragon

by Viet VoPham

When you were a kid, did you ever imagine jumping on the back of a unicorn, dragon, or some other mythical animal and touring the world? Have you been watching a lot of Game of Thrones? Well, like many other things, Google is making your dreams (almost) feasible! Google Map's newest transportation option lets you journey by dragon, so you can finally travel in style.

Don't worry, you still have the old and less exciting travel choices, which include going by car, bus, plane, bike, or on foot.

Unfortunately, there is a catch to this wondrous new tool. You're only able to fly by dragon if you're getting directions from Snowdon to Brecon Beacons in Wales. I know what you're thinking...time for a trip!

If you're actually traveling to Brecon Beacons, you can click on a tiny dragon icon, which becomes visible after opting for the bus route. Oddly enough, the dragon caricature bares an uncanny resemblance to the dragon on the Welsh flag. This nifty new feature may be Google's own quirky way of paying tribute/giving a shout-out to Wales.

So if you're ever in Snowdon and need to get to Brecon Beacons in a hurry, I'd advise you to meander via a majestic creature because why wouldn't you want to ride a dragon? Why would anyone settle on walking or driving when you can arrive via mythical beast in just 21 minutes?
