If there's one guaranteed way to make yourself old, it's to look back at when the various Harry Potter books and films were released. It's been almost 16 years since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was first published and over 12 years since its movie adaptation was released, when we first got to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione come to life. June 4 marks Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 's tenth anniversary, the third film and one considered by many fans to be one of the series' best.
Whether or not you agree with that, it's easy to see that Prisoner of Azkaban was very different from the two films that preceded it and still stands out from the eight-film series. Much of that is thanks to its much darker tone and being the only Harry Potter film to be directed by Gravity's Alfonso Cuarón. However as time has passed and the earlier films begin to blur together, you might have forgotten than Prisoner of Azkaban also stands out for containing major, unforgettable moments in the Harry Potter series.
