Bad Day? There's A Celeb Pep Talk For That

by Caitlyn Callegari

Bad days, they happen to the best of us. Whether it's a long day, a long work week, a long life, there are instances when it feels like it's impossible to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes, it's simpler than that. It could just be a nagging feeling that's got you down. For example, you never got called back after that interview you thought went so well, your roommate left their dirty dishes in the sink, AGAIN, you went on a date with someone you thought you really liked until they showed up wearing Ed Hardy, you dinged up your brand new car because that mom with her three wild kids in the Target parking lot wasn't paying attention as she was texting and drove her shopping cart right into you.

I feel you. It's just a definitive and inescapable part of life that some days are going to suck... hard. But, if you just can't seem to find the heart to overcome it, or you're in need of a little pick-me-up, you've come to the right place. Because here, I want you to feel good. Put some pep back into that step! Chin up, girl.

I've got some of the best fictional pep talks that will whip you right into shape.

DOES THE UNIVERSE SEEM LIKE IT'S OUT TO GET YOU? TRY LOOKING INWARDLY...

Not getting through to you, still?

Tough love. It works.

THE H8RZ GETTING YOU DOWN? YOU ARE YOUR OWN CHEERLEADER.

“Snap out of this. Stop being defined by what other people think of you… or how they disappoint you. It’s lonely at the top — you know that. What’s that song about overcoming professional and personal disappointments? Oh yeah. 'When you’re smiling, when you’re smiling, the whole world smiles with you…'

Even Rachel Berry has doubts sometimes.

PROJECTING YOUR INSECURITIES ONTO OTHER PEOPLE WON'T MAKE YOU ANY LESS INADEQUATE. FOCUS ON IMPROVING YOURSELF.

Even if they're wearing 99 cent lip gloss on their snaggle tooth.

NEVER GIVE UP.

Because if there was any time to give up, it's in a secretive labyrinth underneath the town well with a bunch of 12-year-old boys who have the mafia after them.

TRY TO BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE.

If Mr. Feeny says it, IT IS LAW.

THE ONLY PERSON WHO IS STOPPING YOU, IS YOU.

...And I guess in this instance, Will Smith.

ANY PROGRESS NO MATTER HOW SMALL, MATTERS. KEEP GOING.

Just listen to Pacino so he'll stop screaming, okay?
