Christina Aguilera Debuts New Look at 'Voice' Event, Proves She's Come Full Circle

Yep, it hardly seems Aguilera has changed much since her days as a fresh-faced — and vocally gifted — Britney Spears competitor. Not only did fans fall in love with this album cover, but they coveted nearly anything Aguilera wore. Even in baggy orange pants and a beaded top, Aguilera rubbed them the right way.

Flirting in more risqué territory, Aguilera helped make belly button jewelry and red highlights popular in the early 2000s with her get-up from the colorful "Come On Over" video. Aguilera rocked the look, but we sure didn't — with the "Come On Over" video, two trends that would forever haunt our high school photos were born.

Still, "Come On Over" didn't seem to show enough skin for Aguilera. The singer lost some of her streaks and a lot of her clothing by the time VH1 taped its My Music Awards.

But what she lost in clothing, Aguilera made up in with hair. Recording "Lady Marmalade" for Moulin Rouge! brought out the singer's inner lioness, who was likely roaring at her make-up artist to re-apply regularly.

Aguilera proved she was still bubblegum pop with this look, just prior to much darker — and much more naked — time in the singer's career.

With the release of Aguilera's Stripped, the singer aimed to show audiences and fans that she was not only "Dirrty," but looked quite dirty as well. A shower or two might have helped subdue that blush.

If "Dirrty" wasn't enough to convince parents of the 2000s that Aguilera wasn't what their young teen girls wanted, this red leather minidress certainly did the trick.

Riding high off of Stripped's success, Aguilera tried to fly high in this feathered number. The outfit itself was a bit of a misstep, but seeing Aguilera rock one hue in her hair for the first time since "Genie In a Bottle" fulfilled some of our wishes.

That is, until Aguilera compensated for the lack of color in her hair by slapping it on her face. The singer might have become a M.A.C. spokeswoman, but all this look is saying to us is that Aguilera needs to restock on her make-up remover.

Just two years before her music career went Back to Basics, the singer's hair went back to her basic blonde with this Marilyn Monroe-esque look. Holy reinvention!

But after something borrowed came something blue — this dreamy number fulfilled our dreams by proving that the singer was capable of covering up her famous assets.

Aguilera's music career might have been centered on the Basics, but this gown was anything but. In fact, the look became so iconic for the singer, it inspired a wax figure.

Aguilera's new commitment to class would have been a solid win — if only that brown bow would have bowed out on the carpet.

Hey, we've all been a victim of bad bangs.

Now, if only ours could grow out as fast as Aguilera's.

Aguilera chose glam to stand alongside A-listers at the 2010 Golden Globes, which saw her film, Burlesque, nominated, despite being critically panned. Good thing we have nothing bad to say about this lovely number.

Just one year later, Aguilera looked markably different on the red carpet, though the singer still proved she could vamp it up. Too bad critics were too focused on her body to focus on her elegant gown.

Channeling 2001 Aguilera, the singer broke out the wild curls once again, proving to audiences that she could not only sound, but still look like she did in her "Lady Marmalade" days.

And then came the return of Aguilera's multi-toned hair. Unfortunately, this time around, the look was less stylish, and more did-you-fall-asleep-in-a-paint-can?

Luckily, there were so many distractions during Aguilera's bizarre American Music Awards performance, you hardly had time to focus on the fact that her bling looked far better on her belly button in 2000 than it did plastered on a leotard.

Like in 2000's "Come On Over," we loved seeing Aguilera in white.
