Meet The Human Jessica Rabbit

by Michelle Regalado

Just when you thought body modification couldn’t get any more extreme, there is now a Human Jessica Rabbit to add to the list alongside Human Barbie and Human Ken. Meet 25-year-old Penny Brown, an Australian-born woman whose life goal is to emulate the cartoon character’s famous hourglass figure. In an effort to remake herself into the Who Framed Roger Rabbit star, the pinup model got breast implants to take her cup size from a 34H to a 36O.

But it doesn’t stop there. According to the Daily Mail, she also wears a super constrictive corset for 23 hours a day in an effort to shrink her already 26-inch waist to half the size of her hips. That’s right — 23 hours a day, even though she reportedly can barely sit down or eat in it. Holy moly…that, my friends, is commitment.

“I’ve always had a small waist, big hips, and large boobs, but I’m kind of a ‘go hard or go home’ sort of person,” Brown said. “I wanted to make that significantly more extreme, more dramatic, more stunning, and more wonderful.”

Brown, who now lives on the small island of Okinawa, Japan, reportedly still wants even more extreme proportions and is considering more breast surgery to make her boobs “as big as possible.” OK, then.

I’m all for doing whatever makes you feel better about yourself. At the end of the day, everyone is free to look the way they want to look. That being said, I can’t help but think that physically, putting your body through such extreme measures every day cannot be healthy. Putting aside whatever mental pressures may be motivating Brown to take these actions, I’m pretty sure any physician on the planet would agree that wearing a corset all day, every day will cause all kinds of damage to your internal organs.

Not everyone feels this way though. Brown’s husband is apparently thrilled with his wife’s body, telling The Mirror she’s “as close to Jessica Rabbit as any mere mortal can get.” Probably true…but at what cost?
