RPatz in the next Indiana Jones

by Alanna Bennett

It seems like at this point in his career Robert Pattinson's heard just about all the rumors about himself that there could possibly be. Which is why the most recent one — that he'd be taking over Harrison Ford's role in the event of an Indiana Jones update — probably didn't phase him much in the grand scheme of things. Still, Pattinson would like us all to know that no, he is not the next Indiana Jones. In fact, he seems a bit perplexed that they'd even be looking for a new one at all.

“I don’t know why. Why is that coming out? I honestly don’t understand what it’s all about. Man, I wish!” There are some mixed signals here, granted: Is he wary of any Indiana Jones remake or is he wishing he could be a part of one? Is it both? Has his whole life since being cast in Twilight just made absolutely no sense? It probably hasn't.

Regardless, unless Pattinson's practicing his Simon pegg bold-face-lying skills we probably can't expect to see him in whatever Indiana Jones thing Hollywood has planned next. Unless he called up his agents directly after making these comments and begged them to get him on the shortlist. Honestly, we stopped being able to effectively read Robert Pattinson somewhere between Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
