Is that Lana Del Rey or Megan Draper?

Ah Lana Del Rey. The indie/pop star is as moody as she is sparkly. She can somehow manage to produce sad, sad songs while also being the second most-expensive female artist to see in concert. Because, yep, somehow, people want to pay upwards of $250 to cry (that said, her opinions on feminism will give you a good cry, free of charge). She also sometimes performs at weddings for people like Kanye West and Kim Kardashian... and yet she still has enough cred with the hipster crowd. How do you do it, Emma Watson/Allison Williams/Liv Tyler animorph, HOW!? Her latest video for "Shades of Cool" is so Lana Del Rey it hurts. It's a blurry technicolor art project that's also so Beverly Hills you could scream, or roll your eyes and shrug your shoulders, just like the woman herself.

Not only is the video full of projections of bullets and birds (just like your favorite Etsy shop!), it's also a total Mad Men spoiler. Apparently, Megan Draper (aka Lana Del Rey) stays in Hollywood, has an affair with an older man, and eats strawberries seductively. Oh and pools, she really, really likes pools.

But the most important part of the whole video is that Lana Del Rey once again takes on the Internet by twirling, over and over again. Apparently, she just wants to spin like her meme-self for all eternity. Twirl on sister, twirl on.
