11 Celebs Who Don't Care If They're Getting Older

Christy Turlington was recently on the cover of Vogue again, solidifying her (already pretty much agreed upon) title as one of the world's most timeless supermodels. Turlington, now 45, still looks pretty much as she did 26 years ago in her stunning Calvin Klein ad — which, PS, she's now the face of Calvin Klein perfume yet again. Like I said, timeless. Even though aging doesn't seem to be phasing her physically (but really, how does she look so young?), Turlington recently told Elle that she really doesn't want to look any younger than she actually is. Surprising to hear from a supermodel, right?

“Everybody is so anti-aging, but I don’t want to look younger than I am. Our face is a map of our life; the more that’s there, the better.”

The face: The map of life. Deep. Granted, I think all of that is easy to say for someone who is still a top supermodel at 45 years old, the face of a campaign for a major label and, you know, casually on the cover of Vogue every now and then to make that kind of statement. However, Turlington's words are important and refreshing in a world where celebrities take some pretty drastic measures to remain young-looking. But in all those celebrities, there are still a few like Turlington who simply don't care about aging and, in fact, embrace the entire process. Here are 11 "who cares about aging anyway?" quotes from celebrities to inspire you because, like it or not, we're all getting older.

“The exhausting effort to control time by altering the effects of age doesn't bring happiness”

2. Joan Collins

“I never think about age. I believe your age is totally how you feel. I’ve seen women of thirty-five who are old and people of seventy-five who are young. As long as I look after myself physically, mentally and emotionally, I’ll stay young.”

3. Susan Sarandon

“Now, as I move through my fifties, I can be professional and domestic, creative and intellectual, patient and urgent. I have learned that we should never settle for someone else’s definition of who we can be. Growing to this age, I realize, is kind of like feeling your voice deepen. It’s still your voice, but it has more substance, and it sounds like it knows its own origins.”

4. Diane Lane

"I take comfort that aging happens to everybody. It’s part of life. Aging offers great lessons in dignity, since the indignity wins in the end. Yes, it bothers me when I have lines or puffiness or droops. But it connects me with the human race. Like weather bringing people together, aging brings people together."

5. Helen Mirren

“When you’re 16, you think 28 is so old! And then you get to 28 and it’s fabulous. You think, then, what about 42? Ugh! And then 42 is great. As you reach each age, you gain the understanding you need to deal with it and enjoy it."

6. Jamie Lee Curtis

“Fifty is a big corner to turn. It used to mean being put out to pasture, but it’s the opposite with me. I feel more vibrant; I’m more active than I’ve ever been. The F-word really is freedom. It’s the freedom to have dropped the rock—the rock of addiction, of family, of comparisons with other people. It’s being fit and focused and kind of furious.”

7. Emma Thompson

"The trick is to age honestly and gracefully and make it look great, so that everyone looks forward to it."

8. Jodie Foster

“I’m not interested in being perfect when I'm older. I'm interested in having a narrative. It’s the narrative that’s really the most beautiful thing about women.”

9. Faith Hill

"I don't want to sound like a Hallmark card, but to be able to wake up each day with food and shelter, that alone is good. Forget aging and the fact that my butt is becoming a little more familiar with my knees than my tailbone. If you are six feet above ground it's a good day. So, give me more!"

10. Celine Dion

"There's no such thing is aging, but maturing and knowledge. It's beautiful, I call that beauty."

11. Sharon Stone

"I've never been willing to lie about my age. Why on earth would I want to tell people I'm 35, which I'm not, and have them say, 'Oh that's nice,' when I could tell them I'm 47, which I am, and have them look at me and go, 'Whoa!'. I'm not afraid of aging. I stopped being afraid of life a long time ago."
