Want to hear something that will make you rethink your entire reality? The actor who plays The Mountain on Game of Thrones'is only 25 years old. Yup, that's right. Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson — the Icelandic human behemoth and the second strongest man in the world, who plays the violent and volatile dude who de-eyeballed Oberyn Martell (Noooo! Don't remind me!) — was born in 1988 and is just a few months short of his 26th birthday. That's nuts, right? To put it in perspective, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, the actor who plays Jojen Reed (and, perhaps more importantly, will always be the Love Actually kid), was born in 1990. Say what?!

It's true! Björnsson is really 25. The only thing that makes this weirder is the list of celebrities who are older than him. There are some actors at whom you may balk in disbelief — there's no way they can be older than The Mountain! — but rest assured, The Mountain is a boy straight out of the late '80s. He was born the year before The Little Mermaid came out. The number one song of his birth year was "Faith" by George Michael. The takeaway? Depsite all of the bloodshed on Game of Thrones, The Mountain is really just a fresh-faced young actor.
