He's More than Heather Dubrow's Husband

by Lindsey Kupfer

Dr. Terry Dubrow is back and even if you don’t remember his name off the top of your head, you probably know exactly who he is. A reality show veteran, Dubrow will star in E!'s newest series Botched , alongside another reality staple, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof’s ex-husband, Paul Nassif, fixing plastic surgeries that have gone terribly wrong. In other words, our newest obsession.

When I first watched the trailer for Botched, all I could think about was The Swan. Remember, that show where they would take not so great looking people and perform crazy plastic surgeries until they were “Swans”? I certainly do. It was like a car crash you couldn’t look away from. Well, guess who the head plastic surgeon on the show was? That’s right, Dr. Terry Dubrow.

Though both focus on plastic surgery, Botched, is more dramatic and less degrading than The Swan. At least this time around Dubrow is helping people restore themselves after bad surgeries, instead of telling women everything that is wrong with their bodies. And who says plastic surgery isn’t helping the greater good? In all seriousness, I'm pretty excited to see Dubrow take on some clients who really need his help. Watch the trailer for Botched below.

If Dubrow looks comfortable on camera, it's because he's no stranger to reality TV. After his short success on The Swan, the doctor was brought in to mentor women on Bridalplasty, an amazingly awful show that had soon-to-be brides compete to win plastic surgery and thankfully, only lasted for one season. Dubrow can be found on the talk show circuit as well, having appeared on Dr. Oz.

The Newport Beach native is also known for his somewhat rocky marriage to Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow. The couple has starred on the show for the past three seasons and have recently been battling divorce rumors. Recently, Dubrow turned to Instagram to assure everyone that after 15 years, their marriage is going strong.

Botched airs Tuesday night on E! and will then move to Sunday nights after Keeping Up with the Kardashians beginning on June 29. In case you need more than Dubrow' reality TV past to convince you to watch the show, here's one word to describe the premiere: uniboob.
