Whoa! The super sexy singer, who has perfected the fine art of flashing skin without ever drifting into vulgar or "showing too much" territory, covers up as Ciara covers the August/September issue of Brides in a demure, lacy Reem Acra gown with long sleeves.
Yes, that's really the "Body Party" singer. It's totally not a familiar look for CiCi, so much so that it's actually jarring. But now that Ciara is a first-time mom to a newborn son and planning her wedding to rapper Future, who slipped quite the rock on her finger at 15-karats, she could be toning it down the sexiness a bit.
While women often dial it down once they become mothers, I see no reason for Ciara to become buttoned-up when it comes to her personal style. She can still be sexy, show some skin, and earn our respect for her status as a mama!
Is this the dress route CiCi will go when she swaps vows with the rapper? A preview of what she will wear for her actual nuptials? Probably not. While Ciara admitted that she loved this classic and somewhat soft look, she is opting for elegance with edge on her big day.
"My everyday style is what I call 'tomboy chic,'" Ciara told the mag. "But for my wedding, I'm going to do elegance with a little edge."
Tomboy chic, huh? Tomboy chic is the new sexy, isn't it? I don't see too much tomboy going in on some of the Ciara styles posted below, but I totally get what she is saying. She is able to mix hard and soft with shirt-dresses and leather jackets.
Ciara also admitted that it didn't take her long to realize that Future would be her one and only for the rest of her life. "He came with something that I'd never felt before: the true presence of a man," the R&B star, 28, said. Rawr!
Even though CiCi looks lovely and almost dainty on her Brides cover, it's out of her style character. She is so hawt, even while preggers. I've also posted a handful of pre-and-post-preggers shots that demonstrate the CiCi's "tomboy chic."
This dress is so sweet and delicate. But it doesn't feel like Ciara.
