Crazy Driver "Wanted Massacre" on Venice Beach

As if there weren't enough travel accidents happening recently. A driver intentionally drove through Venice Beach boardwalk Saturday evening, killing one person and injuring eleven.

Officials say 38-year-old Nathan Campbell reportedly turned himself in two hours after the incident and was charged with murder, remaining in jail Sunday on $1 million bail.

According to reports, Campbell casually got into his black sedan Saturday evening, after which he allegedly just proceeded to speed into the busy boardwalk, apparently on purpose.

The hit-and-run left one victim in critical condition, two more in serious condition, and another eight with minor injuries. A 38-year-old woman died from her injuries soon after she reached the hospital as well. But it's not clear yet why he did it.

"There no indication that he knew anybody that he hit," one LAPD offical said. "It looks like this guy wanted to run over a bunch of people. One guy bent on doing evil."

Witnesses say they believe Campbell was traveling going at 60 mph, before he eventually crashed near the boardwalk's intersection with Dudley Avenue, having mowed through the crowds of people in the tourist hotspot.

"This guy had an intent to create mayhem and massacre a lot of people," one witness said.
