The Star-Studded Mumford & Sons Video is Hilarious

by Kate Ward

It stars Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Ed Helms, and Will Forte. No, it's not the summer 2013 comedy you've been waiting while groaning through We're The Millers trailers. Instead, the season's best comedic effort comes courtesy of the Mumford & Sons video "Hopeless Wanderer."

Mumford & Sons, who already partially turned over singing reigns to a group of Indian marching band members in their video for "The Cave," forwent starring in their own patented country-during-sundown video to allow Sudeikis, Bateman, Helms, and Forte to parody the band. And, as it turns out, these four men should never, ever be allowed to wear facial hair.

But they should be allow to poke fun at more bands, especially now that Sudeikis' and Forte's Saturday Night Live days are over. Because the "Hopeless Wanderer" music video is the Mumford & Sons fan fiction you've been waiting for. Homoeroticism and banjos — could we ask for anything more?

Watch the music video starring We're the Millers' Sudeikis, Arrested Development's Bateman, The Office's Helms, and Saturday Night Live's Forte below — it's well worth the five-minute runtime.
