Kate Holmes Covers 'Glamour' In Jeans

Katie Holmes has gone through lots of changes — like joining Twitter — after her high-profile split with Tom Cruise. Most recently, Katie Holmes is on the (leaked) cover Glamour for August 2014, this time wearing dark jeans and a lighter wash denim button-down. It's not a Canadian tuxedo, either. It's our girl Holmes looking casual but stunning, like the mom to a young budding fashionista, since that's exactly what she is. Hi, Suri!

Holmes is evidence of the fact that you can't wear Chanel and heels all the time. In fact, this cover, which is for the denim-themed issue, makes Holmes that much more relatable. While Holmes' style was certainly elevated when she married that couch jumper Cruise, it hasn't devolved because they divorced and because she donned jeans for a major mag cover. Honestly, Holmes just reminded us how good celebs look when they dress down in comfy, stylish denim.

Holmes is rocking casual chic like nobody's business. If anything, it's more proof that her divorce didn't shake her life or her style. She's Katie Holmes, wearing what she wants to wear. While the actress did shutter her Holmes and Yang clothing line with stylist Jeanne Yang in amicable fashion, don't you worry, Holmes haters and Holmes lovers. She is not slumming it.

She looks as young and fresh as she did when she played Joey on Dawson's Creek.

Marvel at Katie Holmes in an all-denim ensemble below.

Like I said, K. Holmes is not the only A-lister to don denim on a mag cover or in real life. See five other stylistas rocking dungarees.

1. Mila Kunis

Ashton Kutcher's baby mama wore denim for the 2012 cover of the mag's denim issue.

2. Rihanna

An extreme departure from Rihanna's sheer Fourth Of July dress, the singer donned dark denim, high-top Converse, and a leather jacket while courtside and it was the perfect uniform for taking in a game of hoops. She totally dressed things up with the pompadour and the neck bling.

3. Taylor Swift

It may have been a hot minute ago, before her Jackie Kennedy phase, but T. Swizzle wore grey skinnies with a voluminous top and even more voluminous hair.

4. Carrie Underwood

The queen of country music totally dressed up dark-rinse, ankle-hitting skinnies with an applique-like top and nude, strappy heels. Her whole ensemble looked expensive, despite featuring a pair of blue jeans.

5. Kim Kardashian

It's not often we see Kim Kardashian in jeans, but when she goes that route, it's very Kim-like. Here, she mixed a loose, flowy top with destroyed skinnies, booties, a cropped leather topper, and an oversized clutch. The whole thing was totally stylish, timeless, and anything but boring.
