Alex Wang x H&M Sneak Peak is, Well, Sneaky

by Erin Mayer

If you're a person who gets dressed in the morning, you're probably pumped about the Alexander Wang for H&M collaboration. Ever since the project was announced during Coachella, we've been dying for a glimpse of what the collection — out on November 6th — will include. Will there be sporty crop tops? Artful gym bags? Swingy tank dresses? H&M is now slowly revealing details from the collection on Instagram and the first sneak peak is anticlimactic. Alex Wang for H&M will feature (drumroll, please)... a boxing glove keychain embroidered with "AW."

Now I must admit that it's great as far as keychains go. Even if you don't care about boxing, you'll want to throw your house keys on there just so that when people say "Cool keychain!" you can bat your eyes and answer "Thanks, it's Alex Wang" and saunter off like the It girl you are. And it's bound to be less expensive than Fendi's Karl Lagerfeld keychain. But I mean... it's a keychain. Both brands are just toying with us, trying to whet our whistles and get us pumped for the real thing.

And their evil plan is working! I'm literally freaking out trying discover clues as to what the fast fashion retailer and professional Cool Boy have in store for my wardrobe come November. However, if the whole collection is boxing themed, I'll be disappointed. After all, Dannijo has already cornered the market on high-end collections inspired by boxing this season with #BOXERINA. There are only so many ways to make professionally punching people fashionable.

Without further ado, here's your first look at Alex Wang x H&M. Is it fall yet?
