Prince George Lands His First Magazine Cover

by Lia Beck

I don't know if you knew this, but Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge aka the baby with the most extensive Wikipedia page, is about to turn one! And like all famous babies who are celebrating a momentous birthday, he's being honored in high style. Prince George is on the cover of Vanity Fair and inside there is a story all about how he handled his first year being the most important baby in existence. (Sorry, North West.) He no doubt spent a lot of time pooping, crying, and figuring out what feet are, but he did a ton of really interesting, classy stuff too. Like, remember that time he wore tiny pink overalls, or the time he really connected with that dog, or the time he met the bilby who is named after him? Show me another baby who has a bilby named after him or her and then I'll say that Prince George doesn't deserve a Vanity Fair cover.

Of course, George is not the only baby who has graced a magazine cover before he was out of diapers. Many have come before him. Let's take a trip down memory lane and check out some other babies who no doubt gave candid interviews about their life's work and the trials of learning to walk.

Prince George

First, here's Prince George's cover. As you can see, he's joined by his mother and father, and is "the world's most eligible infant." Well, that isn't creepy and making me think that parents are figuring out a way for their infant daughters to end up dating Prince George AT ALL.

Suri Cruise

Suri literally looks like a doll! Look at that hair! Look at that semi-ridiculous headline that kind of makes it seem like Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise weren't entirely convinced that Suri was, yes, their baby!

Vivienne & Knox Jolie-Pitt

The rights to photos of the Jolie-Pitt twins used in this issue of People sold for a reported $14 million dollars. The money went to a charity created by Jolie and Pitt that helps children in need around the world. Now that's how you do a celebrity baby cover.

Mason Disick

At only two-weeks-old, Mason Disick was on the cover of Life & Style. It's no Vanity Fair but, hey, Calabasas is no Windsor Castle, so I guess you take what you can get.

Max & Emme Anthony

Two things: I enjoy how Marc Anthony was left off the cover (sorry, Marc, but you know the people really just wanted to see babies and J. Lo) and also, did you remember that Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson were a thing? I didn't.

Kingston Rossdale

Kingston Rossdale very well may be "the coolest kid on the planet," I can't argue that, but I am much more apprehensive about the answer to who was "next for playboy Nick."

Ace & Maxwell Johnson

Older sister Maxwell was old news at 15-months — what would she even bring to an interview at that point? — but Jessica Simpson took the opportunity to present her son Ace to the world — well, uh, to customers standing in line at the grocery store.
