We Have To Call Her Emma 'One Earring' Watson Now

by Mary Avant

Man, is it Emma Watson’s year or what? The lovely British actress kicked off 2014 on a high note with her latest big-screen blockbuster, Noah , performing amazingly at the box office. Naturally, the uber-fashionable starlet followed suit on the red carpet, positively stunning in gorgeous gown after gorgeous gown at movie premieres across the globe. And after surprising everyone with a pair of hidden pants underneath her Globes Globes dress and looking flawless yet again in Vera Wang at the Oscars, Watson then graduated from Brown University, proving to any doubters that she’s not only gorgeous, stylish, and supremely talented, but also undeniably intelligent.

Just this week alone, the actress was named a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador; returned, in a way, to her Harry Potter days thanks to a new short story from J.K. Rowling; and impressed everyone in a string of amazing ensembles while sitting front row at some of the most in-demand shows at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

But because she’s so awesome, Watson apparently isn’t done yet. Showing up on Wednesday to take in Valentino’s Fall 2014 collection, the star was hardly recognizable in her killer outfit — an outfit that pushed Watson’s typically tame, sweet, minimalistic, and super-sophisticated sense of style to a much edgier place.

Sporting a two-piece lace ensemble, the actress looked both majorly mature and super smoking hot in her maxi-length, sheer skirt and matching, ab-baring black bralette. But she didn't stop with those feminine-yet-revealing pieces: She also added an amazing biker-chic leather jacket to give the look an extra dose of edge that took it straight from girly to rock-n-roll glam. Finishing the ensemble with red heels, a mini clutch, and just one dangling pearl earring, there's no doubt that Watson was the coolest girl on the Valentino front row (sorry, Kim K and Olivia Palermo!).

And because I know you want to see it, here's the look without the badass leather jacket:

She couldn't look more effortlessly elegant and style-savvy, thanks in particular to the fabulous pockets that hide beneath the lace overlay, but over the lined pencil skirt.

And just take an up-close look at Watson's single earring, barely there makeup, and sleek-but-casual updo:

Seriously, I don't think the star has ever looked so edgy. And the fact that I only had eyes for her (Kim Kardashian who?) proves that this look is definitely one to be remembered and, hopefully, channeled once again.
