All The Ways to Watch ‘Masters of Sex’

Virginia and Masters are back for round two of their sex study and it looks pretty intense from the trailers we’ve seen. Masters of Sex returns for Season 2 Sunday night and I’m pretty sure everyone wants to know if Virginia and Masters are actually in love this season, especially after what happened in the Masters Season 1 finale. The Season 2 trailer shows Virigina and Masters hooking up at her house, suggesting that this time around they will be having sex outside of the study. Okay, so it’s messed up that Masters is cheating on Libby when she just had his baby, but we want the other two to be a couple super badly. It’s basically a double-edge sword.

Now that the Emmys have nominated Lizzy Caplan and Co. for a few awards, you’re surely dying to know what all the rage is about. No one wants to be at the water cooler on Monday morning having not watched the Sunday night line-up and I'm positive that Masters of Sex is going to be the biggest topic the next 12 weeks. Obviously, the easiest way to watch Season 2 is on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime, but who watches shows live anymore really? I’ve figured out some other ways for you to watch the new season — legally, of course, since I know none of you would illegally download your shows (#sarcasm).

Showtime Anytime

Like HBO, Showtime puts all of their shows on their own on demand site. If you miss the first round of the show or you don’t have a TV to watch Masters on, you can go to Showtime Anytime literally any time after the episode has begun, log in, and watch. All you need to log in is your username and password that you use to pay your cable bills. If you don’t subscribe to Showtime, then search your phonebook because at least one of your friends will have the channel, I promise. If for whatever reason you don’t a computer, you can also get Showtime Anytime on Xbox360, AmazonFireTV and Roku. Unfortunately, for people with Apple TV (like me), Showtime Anytime still doesn’t have an app available. I really need to figure out who to talk to about that.

On Demand

If your cable provider has On Demand, they usually put episodes up 24 hours after the show has aired. If you can avoid the internet the next day, then you can watch the episode you missed on Monday night at your leisure. See, you don’t have to pirate a show, you just have to steal your friends' passwords or, you know,actually pay for Showtime on a monthly basis.

Re-Runs

Don’t worry. Because Showtime slates all of its series for Sunday night premieres, they've got plenty of time to replay episodes throughout the week leading up to the next new one. So if you miss it on Sunday nights, you can watch the episode you missed on Monday night at 9:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m., or even catch it on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m., so they've really got you covered.
