Megyn Kelly Calls Out Sexism Against Men

ATTENTION, WOMEN! Feeling upset about that Hobby Lobby decision last week? Mad that SCOTUS told women employed for closely held companies that their employers could make decisions about their reproductive health? Fox News "political analysis" tells us who we should actually feel sorry for: the five male judges that made the decision. Or so says Megyn Kelly, who called out Nancy Pelosi for being sexist against men.

So basically, if Boehner said it, we'd get to call him sexist? Because it's sexist to mention someone's gender, right? Well, that's what Kelly said: that Pelosi was being sexist toward the five men who made the decision. But somehow I don't feel like Kelly would continue to stand by that statement if Boehner had identified the Supreme Court women that hadn't supported the decision. She'd probably thank him for questioning whether the synapses were properly firing in our feeble female minds.

And let's put speculation aside for a moment: Pelosi was factually correct in that it was five men who ruled in favor of Hobby Lobby. That's not her saying anything about why they made the decision, but rather just that, yes, they are men, and they were the ones that saw the ruling to fruition. Gah, you're right, Meg. I'm so glad that we have you here to defend those poor, defenseless Supreme Court justices from the female ire of Nancy Pelosi. What the hell would Scalia do without you? Now he can emerge from the shadows and walk proudly in the sun. After all, they really were the ones suffering here. Sigh.
