Lea Michele Shares Beautiful Tribute To Monteith

On the one year anniversary of the tragic and untimely passing of Glee star Cory Monteith, we're reminded of many things. We remember how he stormed the scene in 2009 as Finn Hudson, immediately enamoring us with his winsome grin, admittedly awful dancing, and affable demeanor. We remember watching him fall in love with Lea Michele on and off screen. We remember swooning when they finally admitted what we all already knew: They were a couple. We remember the charities he worked for and how he bravely spoke about his struggle with addiction in an effort to help others.

And, of course, today more than any day, we remember when that same unfortunate disease claimed his too-short life. But, perhaps most of all, we remember that behind Finn Hudson, the love story, the addiction, the public appearances, Monteith was a real person with a slew of people who loved him dearly. And today, those people, namely the cast of Glee and Monteith's love, Lea Michele, made sure to convey that love in a way that honored the kind of man he was: humble, sweet, and heartfelt.

Whether it was a short and simple message to him on Twitter or a picture tribute on Instagram, the sentiment was felt by all — he's still just as missed as he was when he passed. But, understandably, the most heart-wrenching and beautiful remembrance came from Michele, who shared candid pictures of the couple that gave the world an unprecedented glimpse into their lives.
