This Jay Z, T. Swift Mashup Is Great, Unironically

by Rachel Reid

In a world where hip-hop is performance art and Taylor Swift is relentlessly mocked, we think it's safe to assume that this footage of Jay Z's "Picasso Baby" performance set to TaySway's "22" was made ironically. But to be perfectly honest, we almost like each song better this way.

The best part of the "Picasso Baby" video is seeing famous people coming together to support Jay Z's venture into the modern art world, making friends, and inventing weird dances along the way — and what better way is there to celebrate friends and weird dances than with some Taylor Swift? There is no better way.

If we're breaking barriers between hip-hop and modern art, maybe we could break the ones between hip-hop and T. Swift while we're at it? Kanye wouldn't approve, but no one really cares what Kanye thinks, anyway.

Fingers crossed for a Beyonce/Taylor Swift duet in the next year.
