'Two and a Half Men' Finds Charlie's Gay Daughter

Two and a Half Men has found its lady. The CBS series has cast Amber Tamblyn in the role of Charlie's long-lost lesbian daughter, who will join the cast in a guest role during Season 11. The actress will play Jenny, a woman who takes after her father — played by Charlie Sheen, who left the series after his well-publicized meltdown in 2010 — in every single way. (And that includes his love for women.)

Tamblyn joins full-time cast members Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer as the hit CBS series' half man, Angus T. Jones, is about to leave the series. The Christian actor, who came under fire following controversial remarks he made about the show's themes, has seen his role reduced to a recurring status, and will likely be leaving the series.

Which leaves Jenny as his possible replacement. Though Tamblyn is only slated to appear in five episodes, she will have the option to become a regular if all goes well. And that's a big if: Though the Joan of Arcadia actress is certainly talented, the role of Jenny itself has invited quite a bit of buzz in recent weeks, with many TV viewers fearing the character's sexuality will be used for comedy. (A move that would be frowned upon, considering how much gay characters are underrepresented on television, especially on CBS.) But, should Jenny prove to be a hit, will Two and a Half Men require a title change?
