Plane Crashes Into Homes, Children May Be Inside

A small plane has crashed into two East Haven, Connecticut homes Friday after attempting to land at a local airport. The plane was trying to land in rainy conditions at Tweed Airport, according NBC Connecticut.

The plane's pilot and two others haven't been found yet, according to Mayor Joseph Maturo. The two victims that were in the house may be children, and their ages are one and 13, according to the Associated Press.

Douglas Jackson, East Haven's fire chief, said they, "presume there is going to be a very bad outcome."

The mother has made it out of the home, and is being consoled by a priest and family members, Maturo. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is now investigating the crash, and Tweed Airport has closed.

The pilot didn't make a distress call, and the fires were put out within 30 minutes of the crash.
