The Next Urban Decay Naked Palette Is Coming

by Christine Cauthen

If you're a beauty fanatic, chances are that you mark release dates in your calendar, buy more products than you can reasonably use before their expiration date, and follow dozens of beauty guru vloggers on YouTube. If you fall into that category, get your pens ready and open your planner to August 19th. On that day Urban Decay will release Naked 2 Basics, the next palette in the brand's most famous line of eyeshadows with a cult following. The product is still a little over a week away for online orders, but social media and beauty bloggers are already losing their minds in anticipation.

The mass appeal of the Urban Decay Naked line is largely due to the variety of neutral toned colors in each palette. There are three full-sized naked palettes, and after the release of Naked 2 Basics, there will be two smaller sized palettes for someone not as invested in shimmer or a wide variety of colors. Neutral eyeshadow can be layered to work in all seasons, but they're especially beautiful paired with a pumpkin spice latte and your favorite circle scarf, so the new Basics palette is just in time for fall. Although the palettes are a bit pricey ($54), the full sized palettes come with 12 colors ranging from deep navys and blacks to light champagne and rose golds and comes with a double-sided eyeshadow brush. The basics palettes are more affordable ($29), and they come with six colors, but no brush, so they're great for beginners who are looking to add some incredibly flattering neutrals to their makeup kit — but not go too crazy.

All the new colors are bit cooler than the first Naked Basic palette, so they're great for girls with blueish undertones in their skin. You can preview all the new colors now over at Urban Decay's website.
