How Does Pierce Do When Playing Nintendo's 007?

by Mallory Schlossberg

Even (the former) James Bond can't escape playing games with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. However, this game doesn't have too much of a gimmick to it; Pierce Brosnan just played GoldenEye 007 with Fallon. Yes, that's right — the two played the Nintendo 64 game, based on the James Bond movie, in front of a live studio audience, as two bros would in a basement. And you know what? It's pretty damn fun.

Of course, Brosnan is no longer donning 007's suit, but to Fallon (and probably to many others), he'll always be Bond. James Bond. And while there are many ways to commemorate a favorite role an actor has played, leave it to Fallon to whip out an old school Nintendo 64. It's clear that Brosnan digs the idea — even if he's not very good at the game (for the record, Fallon isn't that great, either) — because how often do celebrities get to go on late night TV and play an old school video game? Not too frequently!

While Fallon might get flack for having celebs engage in all sorts of quirky party shenanigans — be it a game of Pictiononary or an on-land kayak race — you can't deny that it's fun to watch stars just have fun, especially when it's James Bond.
