The MTV VMA's 6 Best Moments Because The Ladies Killed It in 2014
MTV award shows have a way of being more unpredictable than most, which can be great or completely terrible. This year's telecast was no different. The winners were pretty obvious and usually get lost with time, but the performances and moments in between are not so easy to forget. The best part of this year's VMAs telecast is how much women took over. From having the better performances to winning awards that are usually saved for men, female power was on full display on Sunday night and everyone knew it.
Nicki Minaj's Many Performances
From performing her single ‘Anaconda’ to joining Ariana Grande and Jessie J for ‘Bang Bang’ and dancing onstage with Usher, Nicki Minaj was very clearly the all-around MVP at the VMAs. And every moment with her onstage was a memorable one.

Iggy Azalea & Rita Ora's Great Performance
The two American imports had a pretty successful night at the VMAs with one hell of a performance to their song “Black Widow.” I know understand why Rita Ora was cast in 50 Shades of Gray. She definitely has charisma.

Somehow Beyonce was able to perform pretty much her entire 2013 album without making the performance feel long or boring. This basically proves she’s a goddess, right?

Best Or Worst Depending On Your Love For Miley
Miley Cyrus won the coveted moon man for Video of the Year and instead of accepting the award for herself, she sent up a homeless youth named Jesse to shine a light on the homeless population in America and specifically LA. Miley sat on the bench by her seat and started crying while Jesse spoke about his situation. Was the whole moment staged and stiff or was Miley’s reaction genuine? Depends on how much you love the singer or not, I suppose, but it was definitely a memorable moment.
